New York City Proposal Photographer + Weddings

There's nothing more romantic than Central Park in the Fall! When Thomas contacted me asking for help planning a surprise Central Park proposal for his girlfriend Allie, I knew I was going to say yes before he finished his sentence. Usually when someone approaches me for a proposal photoshoot, I get to know them and scout out 1-3 potential locations that I later present for my client. Not this time! Thomas' ears perked up when he heard I was going to location scout in the City. He had a few ideas in mind and wanted to come along to help. We spent the whole day together going to my favorite spots. It was so sweet - the level of care and attention he paid to every detail.

When the big day finally came, Thomas was all nerves. (We both were!) First Allie was delayed by a couple hours due to unforeseen circumstances and then the New York City marathon started. Can you believe it! It was enough to get anyone nervous but Thomas tried to keep it cool and we waited for Allie to arrive. When she did, it was game on!

Surprise Proposal In Cenral Park

Allie had no idea what she was walking into. She met Thomas for what she thought was a date. They both dressed to impress each other, but little did she know...I was hiding ready for this moment.

It started with Thomas telling her how much he loved her. He had her laughing and genuinely touched before dropping to one knee. She was so shocked! The ring was beautiful - exactly as she dreamed of - and right there in NYC Central Park, Thomas asked Allie to marry him. Spoiler - she said yes!

Once the surprise was in the open, I popped out! We laughed, cried, and Thomas came clean about how he planned a surprise proposal photoshoot and champagne at Figs and Olive on 5th Avenue. Allie was thrilled.

A toast at Fig & Olive on 5th Avenue, NYC

After the big question, we did a couples photoshoot around Central Park, capturing the joy and excitement intermixed with the City's beautiful architecture. When it came to posing, neither were quite sure what to expect initially. That’s ok. That's why I always give gentle prompts. But to tell you the truth - it's the love and connection these two had that made these photos seem so effortless. They eased into poses effortlessly and took direction well, making it easy to capture their connection on film. Afterwards I took the newly engaged couple to my favorite restaurant in the City - Fig & Olive. They popped champagne and celebrated the next chapter. It was a perfect ending.

Or so we thought! When Allie and Thomas saw their photos, they didn't want our relationship to end there. They invited me to their wedding in Portugal - the couples' favorite place in the world - in 2026. It was my turn to say yes! I am obsessed with how their proposal photos came out, and can’t wait for this sweet couples' wedding.
